The Benefits Counselor is the first contact that our Customers have with our Company. As such, the role is critical in establishing a positive view of our Company as well as providing an excellent Customer experience. The professionalism and effectiveness of the Benefits Counselor directly impacts the Customer, Client, and our Company. As a Benefits Counselor you will be providing outstanding customer service and answering questions about the callers health and welfare benefits. Responsibilities - Respond to Customer inquiries regarding questions, issues or concerns related to their Health and Welfare Benefits. - Correctly identify the reason for the call and resolve where possible or escalate per a specific protocol. - Handle the call using Customer centric techniques, providing accurate information, while complying with established protocols. - Prepare detailed documentation/correspondence of each call into a knowledge base and case history database. - Provide written documentation to track bug tickets, escalations and Customer comments. - Initiate client/vendor follow-up contact to provide issue resolution. - Strive for one call resolution of customer issues. - Actively participate in initial and on-going training sessions. - Any and all other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required: - 1-2 years experience in a call center environment. - Proficiency in MS Word and web applications. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with web and computer applications including solid keyboarding skills with high degree of proficiency in multi-tasking between different applications. - Required High School diploma or equivalent degree; Bachelors degree or working towards a degree, preferred. - Possess excellent active listening, probing and problem solving skills (e.g. demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and solve). - Possess strong interpersonal skills and professional interaction with callers as well as internal teammates at all levels. - Possess strong ability to handle stressful situations and heavy workloads. - Must be able to multi-task and work independently. - Must be reliable and prompt. - Excellent verbal and written communications. - Strong de-escalation customer service skills. - Ability to work independently but also be a strong, positive and proactive team member. - Attendance/Punctuality - consistently be at work and arrive on time; strict adherence to schedule Desired: - Preferred background in benefits administration, insurance, or health care organizations. - Bilingual skills a plus.

Kelly Services is hiring a full time Benefits Counselor to work in a local Meridian call center. Employees will be handling customer and client calls regarding health benefits and compensation inquiries. This is a long term temporary position with various shifts available. There is no selling involved! The pay is $9.50 an hour. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not required! Background in benefits administration, insurance, or health care organizations preferred. The duties of the position include: Answer incoming calls from client's employees and vendors Investigate and resolve caller's issues. Accurately record information and case histories. Answer questions regarding health, welfare, financial and other company provided benefits to callers and/or their dependents. Make appropriate outbound calls when necessary.
