Responsibilities: POSITION PURPOSE: This position reports directly to the Qivliq Benefits Manager. The Senior Benefits Administrator position is responsible for planning, administering, and/or supervising the day-to-day operations of Qivliq benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401(k) retirement plan) et al. Provide excellent customer service and quality benefit plans.Investigate and/or recommend new benefit programs and improve existing programs. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of corporate-wide benefit programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:Benefit Program DevelopRecommend and implement contemporary, business focused benefit programs.Assist in the management of the benefit plan renewal process. Collect experience data from available resources. Examine/research best practices for possible plan design or benefit cost changes. Benefit AdministrationServe as primary contact for vendors and third party administrators. Determine the best plan options by working with third party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data externally for services, premiums and plan administration. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.Assist with planning, scheduling, and directing work within the Benefits Department.Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal government regulations including HIPAA.Assure timeliness and accuracy of required regulatory filings.Coordinate daily benefit processingOversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee benefit records. Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of fees for all group plans. Prepare regular benefit reports by extracting data from the database. Evaluate, Measure, AuditAnalyze the current benefits, evaluating the usage, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends in benefits programs and identify the company's stance.Perform plan audits.Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments. Audit the accuracy and performance of functions performed by benefits staff.Customer Service, Communication, TrainingProvide customer service support to internal and external customers.Design and distribute materials for benefit orientations and open enrollment. Design communications to enhance understanding of company's benefits package and services. Create and conduct presentations using audiovisual tools including power point and videos i.e. Orientation. Provide training and support to company-wide staff and employees. Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree. 8-10 years employee benefit administration experience, preferably with federal contracting companies.Strong/demonstrated written and oral communications skills.Experience using Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred.Proven ability to interact effectively with other HR and corporate departments and business unitsTechnical aptitude and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point.Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designs. Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgments on proposals (RFP's).Demonstrated knowledge of benefit contract language and provisionsKnowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security and DOL requirements.CEBS professional designation desirable.Qivliq and its family of companies reserve the right to edit, revise or change this job description.
