Position will ensure our plans are administered properly, and are promoted to employees. Responsibilities : * Administer the company's benefits plans and programs, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance plans; short-term & long-term disability, accidental death insurance, flexible spending accounts, and the EAP. * Assist with implementation of new benefit plans/programs. * Coordinate human resources procedures to initiate & ensure enrollment in benefit plans and programs. * Respond daily to employee e-mails and phone inquiries, providing answers, guidance for a broad spectrum of benefit related questions. Facilitate resolution with vendors, as applicable. * Maintain the benefits database/HRIS system. Ensure current employee/dependent, beneficiary information is up-to-date in the HRIS system (i.e. benefits enrollments, recurring payments, etc.). * Setup and maintain employee benefit files, and document employee benefit changes in the files. * Administer qualified life event changes. * Facilitate direct benefit payments from employees on leave of absence. Notify employees of payments due and track receipt, following up with vendors and employees as necessary. * Administer plans in compliance with FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, Workers Compensation. * Conduct new employee orientation. Prepare and deliver orientation binders. * Send eligibility data to vendors, and resolve discrepancies. * Verify the calculation of monthly premiums for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives. * Document benefit administration processes. * Calculate retro pay deductions and coordinate with payroll department. * Provide suggestions to Benefits Manager for continuous improvements (i.e. streamline processes and/or administration). * Filing - ensure all documents, benefits changes, enrollment/change forms are filed in an effective organized manner and/or distributed to other internal teams for filing. * General administrative functions for the benefits team (i.e. mail distribution, printing/sorting, courier/shipping requests). * Assist with special projects/research, as required. * Compile paperwork, draft correspondence to meet specific needs. Skills and Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. * 2 years experience administering employee benefit plans and programs in a company with at least 500 domestic employees. * Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focus on customer service to respond to employee inquiries. * Dedicated team player; demonstrates initiative and independence. * Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task. * HRIS ADP experience. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint Additional Benefits : * Comprehensive medical, dental, prescription and vision benefits with a choice of two plans. * Company-paid life insurance for one time's your annual base salary to a maximum of $300,000 per year. * Company-paid long-term and short-term disability benefits. * 12 days accrued paid vacation 1st year; 5 days sick leave per year, and 2 personal days. * A 401(k) plan with eligibility the first of the quarter following 6 months of employment.
