This role will manage employee pension benefit plans for the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision. Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and administers defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, retiree medical, and retiree lifeAnalyzes and evaluates trustee services to determine programs best meeting needs of organization; understands strategic investment conceptsProvides service to employees/retirees/beneficiaries regarding benefit questions, resolves issues related to access to or payment of benefits, and processes enrollment and change formsMaintains employee benefits data in automated SAP HRIS and other systems; maintains plan documents and retirement filesCoordinates transfer of data to/from external vendors, plan providers, auditors and consultantsContracts with plan providers, auditors and consultants for plan administration; negotiates services and fees; coordinates payments from trust to vendors and government entitiesRecommends plan modifications and changes to management and serves on and Retirement CommitteeFacilitates Retirement Committee meetings and maintains meeting documentsNotifies employees and labor union representatives of changes in retirement plansPrepares and submits government-mandated reports relative to our pension programs and plansCoordinates plan audits to ensure compliance with government regulationsRemains current regarding government regulations and communicates sameAnalyzes government regulations, trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizationsAnalyzes historical data for cost-control and risk-assessment factorsCoordinates delivery of employee educationDevelops, recommends, and monitors budget allocations for retirement plans
