Responsible toVP Total RewardsDirectly Supervises and EvaluatesCompensation AnalystDescriptionThe Manager of Compensation directs the design, integration and implementation of Amedisys' compensation strategy and programs. This position collaborates with the Manager of Employee Benefits in an effort to achieve the organization's total rewards objectives, oversees the administration of all Amedisys' compensation services that are provided by external and internal HR staff and is responsible for continually monitoring the market competitiveness of these programs and for ensuring that all compensation programs meet compliance requirements. JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE _____ 1. Designs compensation and recognition programs, developing base and variable pay structures, incentives and bonus programs and administrative guidelines._____ 2. Ensures the delivery of competitive, market-based total rewards; develops a consistent and uniform salary administration system._____ 3. Acts as subject matter expert on all issues relating to compensation and the organization's total rewards programs._____ 4. Assists other areas of HR in understanding Amedisys' compensation programs in order to facilitate the move toward a total reward philosophy._____ 5. Advises/recommends solutions to senior management regarding potential conflicts with the total compensation philosophy relative to pay programs being delivered throughout the organization._____ 6. Develops and improves upon methods to communicate rewards programs to executives and employees._____ 7. Provides direction to and manages compensation staff; collaborates with compensation operations staff to ensure the optimal delivery of compensation services._____ 8. Conducts salary budgeting analysis. Develops recommendations for structural adjustments to pay systems (e.g. grade/range adjustments), merit pools and/or bonus pool budgets and determines the financial impact of pay scale adjustments, bonus plans, etc._____ 9. Manages and develops compensation communication strategies, methods and materials, including the delivery of total compensation statements._____ 10. Manages salary planning efforts._____ 11. Researches and understands best practices and market competitiveness information._____ 12. Counsels HR Business Partners on policy/procedural issues, including promotional increases, salary adjustments, overtime administration._____ 13. Manages job analysis and evaluation._____ 14. Manages position description development and oversees participation in salary surveys._____ 15. Ensures compensation plans are in compliance with federal and state requirements._____ 16. Interprets policies relating to compliance, e.g. FLSA._____ 17. Keeps current on industry and or regulatory activities that could impact compensation programs._____ 18. Interprets compensation policies._____ 19. Knowledge of Amedisys' HR policies and rewards programs._____ 20. Knowledge of executive and employee pay plan details._____ 21. Knowledge of job evaluation, market pricing, compensation data sources, analytic and reporting techniques. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resources Management; Master's degree preferred.2. 10+ years experience in a compensation consulting or administration role.3. At least five years of managerial experience.4. Experience in the design, implementation of total rewards plans.5. Experience utilizing compensation survey databases and model tools.6. Experience using software tools to extract, analyze and report data (Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.).7. Experience utilizing HR technology applications relevant to pay administration.8. Ability to interface effectively with senior leadership with a high level of executive influence on issues relating to compensation and total rewards issues.
