  Overview: Benefits Specialist, Subsidiary HR Services Center, Nevada Services Inc. NV Services, Inc., part of the Amazon.com group of companies, is excited to establish an HR Services Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The Subsidiary HR Services Center will integrate all subsidiary related employee services into one shared-service organization encompassing HR program management, recruiting, immigration, benefits and general HR administrative services.  We work in a fast-paced environment across multiple industries, never losing our passion for customers.  The Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering our full spectrum of benefits, managing vendor relations (health & welfare and retirement), teaming with colleagues in finance and payroll, and participating in the development of new benefit programs.   The specialist will interact with vendors, HR staff and escalated employees in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner to facilitate issue resolution.   Additional responsibilities include:Interface with vendors to ensure efficient systems, practices and work flows to minimize employee/HR issuesReview of interface data and employee records to ensure data is passing correctly to various vendors Review of all vendor bills for accuracy and coordinate approval processing after bill review.Audit internal and external systems for data integrity.Perform miscellaneous analysis and ad hoc reporting as requested.Design, recommend and implement benefit programs for subsidiaries underserved by existing plans.Assist in the management and negotiation of the benefit plan renewal process with vendors and third party administrators. Collect and analyze experience data from available resources. Identify trends as well as areas of concern.Develop communication tools to enhance employee understanding of the company’s benefits package. Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required, and a minimum 5 years experience in benefits administration for an employee population of 3,000+PHR and CEBS professional designations preferredExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate detailed benefits information to diverse groups; ability to maintain strict confidentiality and apply sound professional judgment in dealing with sensitive employee issuesExperience with deep HRIS Analytics.  Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis, insight/ability to suggest solutions for resolution and ability to apply knowledge learned to future issues.Proficient skills with standard Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and HRIS ApplicationsPeopleSoft experience is desired

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required, and a minimum 5 years experience in benefits administration for an employee population of 20,000+PHR and CEBS professional designations preferredAdvanced knowledge of HRIS systems including open enrollment processes and benefits administration processes.Strong technical knowledge and understanding of PeopleSoft HR capabilities and HR business processes.  Experience with deep HRIS Analytics.  Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis, insight/ability to suggest solutions for resolution and ability to apply knowledge learned to future issues.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate detailed benefits information to diverse groups; ability to maintain strict confidentiality and apply sound professional judgment in dealing with sensitive employee issuesProficient skills with standard Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and HRIS ApplicationsPeopleSoft experience is desired
