Kaiser-Francis Management Company, LLC has an openings for a Human Resources Assistant/ Events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General office duties: Including but not limited to: opening/distributing departmental mail, phone back-up for department; maintaining and selling stamps & movie tickets; shredding confidential information; departmental filing; assisting Office Service personnel as needed during peak periods or high absenteeism, including relieving on the switchboard, assisting with mail runs, and other tasks as requested. Payroll: Collecting time sheets; calculating allocation of hours per time sheets and absence reports; sorting, stuffing and delivering paychecks, assisting with auditing & reconciling payroll records, and assisting with payroll data entry as needed. Potential for training in all aspects of processing payroll. Benefits: Assisting with compilation, processing and distribution of various KFOC benefit-related materials (notebooks, quarterly statements, COBRA letters, flexible spending account claims, etc.) Assisting with annual benefit enrollment process; assisting with auditing benefit files; assisting with auditing and distributing monthly benefit reports. Potential for training in daily benefits administration, including claims processing for flexible spending accounts, medical/dental claims resolution; 401(k) enrollments, loan processing. Employment: Assisting with compilation and distribution of policy manuals; posting job openings; assisting with placement of newspaper ads, scheduling interviews, etc. Events: Coordinating and communicating Company- Sponsored Events, including but not limited to chairing Events Committee which includes overseeing and participating in planning, coordinating, and setting up various Company-sponsored events (such as Annual Picnic, Chili Cook-Off, Annual Holiday Party, Take Our Sons/Daughters To Work Day, United Way Campaign, Food Bank, Adopt-A-School related programs, and other events as decided); monthly notifications of birthdays and employment anniversaries. Special Projects: Assisting HR Staff on various projects as needed related to payroll, employment, benefits and legal compliance. Skills required: Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills; intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work in strictly confidential, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment; team player, assisting other HR staff as required; detail oriented; strong organizational skills; regular work schedule: 8am to 5pm. Monday through Friday. Must be able to work extended hours during peak project times (annual benefits enrollment or tasks related to coordinating or facilitating events).
