Job Details: Provides a broad range of Human Resources support services to assigned Hospital departments. These services include, but are not limited to recruitment and staffing, employee relation issues, HR policies, practices and career planning. Proactively identifies trends and needs to effectively serve as a strategic partner integrating HR best practices. Works with Directors/Managers/Supervisors to ensure compliance with union contracts, Hospital policies and procedures as well as state and federal law. Partners with HR Director and staff to review processes associated with HRIS, compensation, benefits and payroll. RESPONSIBILITIES: Incumbent will be well versed in HRIS systems and processes and be responsible to identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the HRIS to include compensation, payroll and employee benefits. Works directly with Directors/Managers to develop and implement cost effective recruitment and retention strategies both general and job specific to ensure the Hospital attracts and retains a qualified work force. Partners with Directors and Managers in sourcing, interviewing and selection of clinical and non-clinical positions, Ensures compliance with state and federal laws regarding EEOC, hiring practices, benefits and other employee relation legislation. Prepares responses to CHRO, EEOC complaints. Provides consultation and makes recommendations regarding employee/labor relation issues. Assists managers and employees in resolving employee/disciplinary problems/issues in accordance with Hospital policies and union contracts. Administers separation process, conduct exit interviews, and makes recommendations for improving retention and employee relations. Responsible for projects and special assignments in areas of expertise. Participates in Hospital committees as assigned. Promotes effective working relationships with all levels of the organization to understand their needs and helps identify HR implications and solutions. Represents the Hospital at agency hearings. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. 7 -10 years progressive HR experience in all aspects of Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and HRIS Advanced level of ability and experience working with HRIS systems (Enterprise, ADP, Kronos, Position Manager along with Expert level in Microsoft Excel and Word) preferred Excellent communication (oral and written), listening, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills. Experience working in a union environment/ labor relations preferred Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, managers, administrators and outside agency representatives to provide Generalist support Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to employment, compensation, benefits and employee/labor relations.
