Candidates having the preferred education and experience are invited to apply.  Position Summary:The Director of Human Resources develops and directs all aspects of Williams Controls’ world wide Human Resources (HR) policies, initiatives and strategies, ensuring HR partners with and supports the functional leadership to drive business plans. Reporting to the CEO, this role is also responsible for managing the firm’s performance management process, employment relations, staff development, recruitment and succession planning, workforce planning, and leadership and professional development.   Responsibilities:Provides effective guidance and counsel to leadership and functional management teams, ensuring direction meets internal business needs and requirements, as well as internal policies and industry best practice. Identifies, proactively raises and develops and implements solutions to organizational issues and trends; constantly reviews the firm’s organizational structures and internal policies and procedures; recommends alternatives for improved effectiveness. As appropriate/when required, participates in the acquisition process by performing due diligence and culture assessments of targeted acquisition companies.Establishes compensation programs, benefit programs and the performance management process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, competitiveness and equity within the organization.·         Develops the firm’s employee relations, succession/workforce planning process, staffing and reward and recognition programs of all exempt and non-exempt positions to ensure depth of talent within the organization as well as encouraging employee engagement/retention and the resolution of employee relations issues.·         Ensures all developments meet all federal, state and local government mandates, as well as any related international mandates or requirements.  ·         Provides leadership and direct support to multi-site operations in China, India, Germany and the U.S. in all HR programs and processes.
