Summary: This salaried position assists store management/supervision with employment related matters.  Conducts investigations and assists employees with their concerns. Primary Responsibilities: Assists and counsels store management/supervision in interpreting and applying company policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements, employee concerns, issuing discipline, conducting terminations and compliance with state/federal employment law (Title VII, religious accommodation, ADA accommodation, I-9 compliance, etc). Conducts investigations and assists with investigations pertaining to allegations of harassment/discrimination, violation of company policy, Title VII, etc. Provides recommendations regarding the results of investigation findings. Prepares responses to charges/inquiries from government agencies. Attends and testifies at hearings or other related proceedings. Coordinate HR matters with the Risk Management, Benefits, Payroll and Loss Prevention Departments. Prepare and conduct group training. Provide support and assistance for the Human Resources team. Performs all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity. Performs other duties as assigned or needed. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or related field) or equivalent experience with High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Overnight travel as needed. Proficiency in computer skills including the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, etc. Must have excellent employment record. Communicate clearly and professionally, using excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills. Demonstrate initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information. Establish and maintain a good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, customers and others.
