Responsibilities Provide professional level support to design, develop and implement effective learning initiatives and organization development solutions aligned to the mission and strategy of APL. Review current program offerings seeking to determine their levels of impact and recommend changes. Establish relationships with key members of the APL community and foster relationships to enhance the credibility of the learning and development function. Minimum 8 years of experience in needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional delivery, and program evaluation methodologies; at least 5 years of which should be in designing and facilitating managerial and leadership effectiveness experiences in an organization setting. Ability to translate strategy into specific goals and deliverables. Experience in organization design and systems, research methods, and change management. Demonstrated results to innovate in the area of training and development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective consulting skills; good organizational, administrative, and computer skills. Desired: Master's degree strongly preferred. Experience with the following: working with engineers and scientists in a technical environment; as a Human Resources generalist (demonstrated); and managing multi-rater feedback programs, leadership/management development programs, mentoring programs, instructional technologies (such as off-the-shelf libraries of online learning courses), and website development administration.
