The Employment Specialist may provide some or all of the following duties listed below:
* Coordinate new client intakes with referral source, Idaho Vocational Rehabilitation (IDVR).
* Market program services and tax credit incentives to new and existing employers.
* Develop and nurture relationships with referral sources (IDVR), clients, client?s families and/or guardians, employers, and other involved professionals and community members.
* Complete internal intake packet including ?facesheets?, client info, consent and disclosure forms, client grievance, and other program requirement forms.
* Provide site development, evaluations and job coaching according to a specified service per authorization.
* Identify appropriate measurable goals for progress summaries.
* Contact clients once a week via email or phone call.
* Produce accurate required internal and external documentation at designated time.
* Coordinate collateral contacts if applicable with involved professionals and/or family members.
* Provide program recommendations, duration and frequency to IDVR counselors.
* Provide client advocacy and education to co-workers, employers and the public.
* Identify and negotiate reasonable job accommodations and/or modifications with potential employers.
