Summary: The Employment and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day recruitment and employment efforts for assigned properties.
Essential Functions:
? Responsible for the identification and development of employment candidates be they from internal or external sources.
? Works with internal departmental staff, operations staff, and leadership team members to evaluate needs and develop plans to address those needs.
? Communicates with the various operating departments and staff members in order to assist them in finding employment candidates needed to replace vacancies.
? Performs all functions in accordance with federal/state/local laws and statutes, the mission and objectives of the company as well as established policies, procedures and internal controls.
? Ensures requisition, applicant and employee records are properly maintained and that all phases of the employment process are carried out consistently and in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, statutes, ordinances and attendant directives.
? Visits properties he/she is responsible for to meet with hiring managers to ensure all needs are being met.
? Other duties as assigned by management.
Non-Essential Functions:
? Answers phones and assists guests at the front desk as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
? Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or related area from a four-year college; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Must possess excellent written, verbal and individual and group presentation communication skills.
? Must have the ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up.
? Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
? Experience with effective leadership techniques, program/system planning, decision-making, staff development, statistical reporting/analysis, and cost benefit analysis required.
? A minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience preferred
? Must have excellent computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point). Strong communication skills required, including the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.
? Experience with Internet recruiting tools is strongly preferred.
