Job Description: Sr. Manager-Home Strategic Sourcing -Contribute to the development of category sourcing strategies - Drivers execution of multiple category sourcing strategies and projects -Leads category teams in conducing supplier assessments -Develops a value chain focused supplier matrix through segmenting and tiering suppliers - Develops cost component knowledge base and supports merchandising teams in cost negotiations -Manages category vendor councils and joint business planning with key suppliers -Drives optimization of sourcing pathways for the best ROI by analyzing Wal-Mart’s and supply chain partners’ competencies, identifying cost reduction opportunities, mitigating risk, and developing contingency plans -Ensures plans are data driven and considers the opportunities for driving open Innovation, cost transparency, long term commitments, material leverage and value chain mapping 7+ years experience in sourcing supply chain, product development, in a retail experience. In addition, manufacturing experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in appropriate category Supervisory experience Domestic and International travel required Deep product manufacturing & supply chain knowledge in one or more of the following: (Sheets, towels, table top, window, rugs, housewares, home décor, furniture, seasonal hardlines, stationary, sporting goods, hardware, outdoor living) Additional Preferred Qualifications: Master degree Strategic leadership, planning & thinking skills Business assessment acumen Value chain mind-set Cost negotiation expertise Experience in assessing supplier capabilities & capacity Experience in pioneering new supply chains Knowledge of private label development Experience with working in a cross-functional team environment Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills Detail oriented International sourcing experience a plus Candidates Must Have: ?
