POSITION OVERVIEWThe EH&S Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Environmental, Health and Safety Department to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations to guarantee the safety of all employees, visitors and contractors in the facility. Incumbent must strive to maintain the safest working environment possible. This position requires communication with employees at all levels and different agencies such as OSHA and EPA.  The Incumbent must have knowledge of dealing with chemicals.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Maintain the accident records and files necessary to backup the OSHA 300 log and any other OSHA requirement. Track and maintain chemicals to ensure Federal and State regulations through EPA and OSHA. Manage the Workers Compensation program, monitor treatment for appropriateness, monitor fees, track injuries, and provide metrics to management. Be the liaison between the site and the environmental and safety agencies. Assist and guide internal and external customers with regards to Environmental Health Safety and Security issues, including special projects, new products, and complaints or concerns. Conduct necessary assessments, inventories and inspections for various environmental and safety regulations including: Chemical inspections and Audits Accident Investigations Hazard control and Prevention Reports Tracking and verification of corrective actions Audits to the Environmental, Health and Safety programs Create and develop new programs and procedures following OSHA and EPA Guidelines such as: Emergency Response Plan, Control of Hazardous Energy, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, and Hearing Conservation. Maintain files and documentation records as required by environmental regulations. Prepares monthly inspections and reports to comply with current environmental permits such as air and wastewater. Assist in developing new EHS related programs and procedures following OSHA and EPA. Monitors the usage of all solvents used in the facilities and prepares reports to regulatory agencies as required. Submits environmental permit applications and renewals to the proper authorities. Manage and lead safety meetings REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science or other HSE-related field (or work/education equivalent)·            Thorough knowledge of dealing with chemicals·            Superior problem-solving, leadership and communication skills·            Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment·            Preferred candidates will have 1-3 years experience as an EH&S Coordinator in a manufacturing field.
