Job Title: Facility Safety Coordinator Company: Helfrich Brothers Boiler Works Location: Lawrence, MA Description: Facility Safety Coordinator Helfrich Brothers has been providing quality services in the power plant industry throughout the east coast for over 50 years. Basic:Safety training, programs, safety committee, inspections, equipment and processes for shop and off-site facilities. Responsibilities:§         Safety training preparation & presentation. Includes preparing training material and performing training sessions. Person is to attend OSHA training and become a “certified trainer”.§         Shop specific safety programs. This includes developing “safe operating procedures” for all equipment.§         Safety committee meeting, preparation, review and response. Includes establishing a safety committee (run by technicians) preparing for safety committee meeting, agenda preparation, conduct meeting, follow-up and implementation of action.§         Industrial hygiene monitoring. Includes scheduling and tracking of all required testing for employees (this includes respirator fit testing, audiograms, etc.)§         Facility safety inspection. Monthly facility safety walk-down, review, follow-up, and hazard control.§         Accident investigation and reporting. Accident investigation, report writing, corrective actions and near miss evaluations.§         Facility safety equipment/inventory inspections. Includes inspections of respirators, harnesses and other safety equipment.§         Off-site auditing (of our filed service crew) at other facilities, plus reporting. This is to assist our field supervisors with “on site” safety.§         Workers compensation management. Management of lost work day cases and back-to-work program.§         Safety reporting, document management.
