Ensure that appropriate safety orientation and technical training is completed by all employees and contractors. Coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure proper documentation and follow-up for all injury/illnesses is maintained. Maintain records for all safety documentation. Conduct investigations of all work-related accidents and medical case management for injured workers. Ensure preventative action is taken immediately. Maintain and perform regular safety audits to assure that the plant environment is safe and hazard-free. Conduct audits of proper us of PPE. Ensure PPE inventory levels are maintained and adequate training is provided. Use air and sound measurement equipment to detect hazard exposure levels.  Qualifications: Minimum of three years of progressive responsibility within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of current OSHA/Worker s Compensation/Safety regulations required. Prefer Associates Degree in Industrial Safety or related field. Advanced safety or risk management certification strongly preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of formal education. Must have a valid driver s license. Must be proficient working with computers including Word and Excel. Must be willing to work flexible hours/shifts as needed and will to be on call 24-7-365.
