Job Title: SENIOR MANAGER - SAFETY Company: Kelloggs Location: Battle Creek, MI Description: Manage the development, implementation, execution, and effectiveness of safety programs and processes for Kellogg North America manufacturing facilities to promote injury prevention and ensure compliance with Kellogg standards and governmental regulations. This position reports to the Senior Director - Global Supply Chain Safety, with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President - Supply Chain Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining strong professional relationships with Plant Managers, HR Managers, Plant Safety Managers, Technical Managers, and Operation Managers. Peer relationships include Business Unit Leadership, Plant Leadership, Corporate Safety Managers, Risk Management, Health and Productivity, Quality, Environmental, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and external consulting resources. Manages safety performance for Kellogg KNA Business Unit and addresses performance gaps. Facilitates Safety & Health Steering Committee perocess to effectively direct safety processes. Works with Business Unit and Corporate resources establish safety goals, plans, and action plans. Ensures overall compliance to company programs, federal, state, and local regulations. Provides technical guidance and interpretation of safety issues to KNA & shares best practices with other Kellogg locations. Liaison with industry experts and government officials. Manages crisis situations and protocol. Manages a budget of approximately $1.6 MM and a safety capital spend approximately $30 MM. Position is also accountable for the reduction of anual Workers Compensation costs. Position will have 5 to 7 direct reports.
