Assume an “expert” role for assigned categories/commodities on a global/national basis.  Consult and collaborate with technical counterparts and cross-functional team members to gain a thorough understanding of supply requirements that will meet/exceed customer requirements in a practical manner. MBA and CPM and/or CPSM purchasing certification desirable.  Minimum 5-8 years of experience working in multiple roles within procurement and other organizations within large corporations.  Minimum 3-5 years of direct strategic sourcing experience at the corporate procurement level. Plastics, plastics packaging and metallic materials category experience a “plus”. Minimum 2-3 years experience leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies. Strong interpersonal, influence, process management and negotiating skills. Results driven. Demonstrated track record of success.
