Development of the HR business strategy to attract, recruit, and retain our most important resource – highly motivated, skilled people
Recruiting and Staffing
Effective and efficient staffing of direct charge employees for the business sectors to minimize lost revenue
Work Force Development
Training plan development and administration aligned with corporate goals
Education programs and tuition reimbursement
Managing the performance appraisal process to ensure each employee is provided appropriate performance feedback on an annual basis
Benefits Management
Annual direct compensation adjustments (raises)
Employee retention programs
Indirect compensation and benefits administration
Open enrollment management
Retirement plans administration and compliance including required 401K management and testing
Work Force Issues Resolution
Fair and equitable address of complaints
Impartial and thorough gathering of facts relevant to complaints or issues
Communications
Collaboration with the Corporate Communications and other key leaders to produce clear, concise, and understandable messages to the work force on a wide variety of HR issues and business topics
Ensure that managers are well informed and knowledgeable prior to the release of corporate information that effects benefits, compensation, or other employee programs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Vice President will lead a team of human resource professionals and be responsible for work distribution, quality, and the professional growth of the team.
He/she must inspire customer focused behaviors and in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, training, and when required, terminating employees.
The VP must make thoughtful but difficult decisions on division of labor, job location, and team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
An advanced degree or certification in Human Resources management is a plus
At least 20 years of related HR management experience
Experience in succession planning is a plus
A proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing highly effective recruiting practices including the development and utilization of intra-company networking, employee referrals, advertising, internet recruiting, and job fairs to exceed our staffing metrics
Experience integrating business units and effectively managing a growing workforce in a dynamic and changing environment.
