The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) is seeking a dynamic, energetic and customer centric training professional to join our Training and Development team in San Antonio, TX.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
Organizes overall requirements of training for managers in all areas of retail/food operating standards, programs, procedures, and practices
Reinforces consistent application of operating standards and implements best practices to measurably improve the quality and efficiency of VCS services.
Assists in the development and/or revision of training courses and materials
Presents instruction/guidance to managers in a training environment, i.e. seminars, conferences, classroom, virtual briefings, etc.
Sets priorities and evaluates effectiveness of program goals and objectives
Evaluates student performance, administers tests, and interpret course results
Coordinates activities associated with course curriculum, training schedules, student issues, instructional methods, grading system, etc.
Plans, monitors, and reconciles training budget

Requirements for Consideration:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
3 years proven experience teaching, instructing, and administering an adult education training program
3 years experience developing and reviewing training/course materials and evaluation of training results.
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Skilled in presenting complex information to a variety of audiences
Expertise in Microsoft office and web based applications, as well as adaptability in technological innovation
Must be able to multi-task and work effectively to meet deadlines
25% - 50% Travel to VCS locations throughout the US to assist in the implementation ofnew programs
Work Schedule fluctuates
