Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced administrative/human resource professional comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, to join our rapidly growing human resources team as a Human Resources Assistant (HRA) and provide HR support for the West, South-Central & Southeast Regions. In this position you will support all aspects of the HR functions that support our people, including administrative support, data management, employee communication and engagement, and support of the strategic execution for those employees in the West, South-Central and Southeast regions. This is a fast paced, high change environment, so candidates must be comfortable and capable of learning new skills, systems, processes & procedures, and shifting to new ways of thinking and doing as may be needed.

Work location : This position is a full-time, fully remote, hourly, non-exempt position. The position will report to our Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources (HR) for the West, South-Central, and Southeast regions. Our preference is for qualified candidates who currently reside in either the Central, Mountain, or Pacific U.S. time zones.

Professional Responsibilities :

  • Assist in preparing, organizing and maintaining documentation related to HR activities, including employee records, contracts, and legal documents
  • Assist in new hire Onboarding activities (administering UKG onboarding, background checks, I-9 completion) and Offboarding departing employees
  • Assist in drafting communications, announcements, and FAQs to keep employees informed about developments, changes, and timelines
  • Coordinate meetings and communication material between HR team and employees
  • Assist in always ensuring HR compliance
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data to support HR decision-making
  • Utilize UKG (HR platform) and other relevant HR software to track and manage employee information and timely changes
  • Collaborate with HR teams to address employee concerns, facilitate integration efforts as needed, and promote a positive employee experience during transition periods
  • Monitor progress, identify issues, and propose solutions to ensure successful onboarding

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Human Resources or a Business-related field
  • 1-4 years of relevant work experience in a human resources or professional administrative environment
  • Working knowledge of HR systems and technology, with UKG experience preferred
  • General knowledge of basic HR Laws and applications is preferred
  • Practical experience or strong knowledge of California labor regulations is preferred
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite tools, as well as Adobe and DocuSign
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Client focused, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and self sufficient
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive, conflicting priorities in a timely manner
  • Ability to travel to partner agency offices as needed (minimal)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future

Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is an hourly rate of $21.63/hour to $26.44/hour, which equates to a starting base salary of $45,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
