WHAT WE PROVIDE:

This is a seasonal position at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. It offers a competitive hourly rate of $16.35/hr with benefits including:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Safety Officer/EMT, you will be responsible for providing medical care, responding to EMS and First Aid needs for both Six Flags guests and employees, and ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with EMS and First Aid guidelines. You will also assist in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the park while supporting the operational needs of the team.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

Provide medical care and transportation for employees and guests in need of medical assistance

Maintain and ensure all medical equipment and facilities in the First Aid area are properly stocked and functional

Complete and maintain medical records and reports, including First Aid reports.

Conduct safety inspections and ride audits as requested by the Safety Manager

Respond to emergency situations, including medical incidents, accidents, and safety hazards

Ensure cleanliness, courtesy, and image standards are met while maintaining a professional presence

Refrain from consuming substances that could impair judgment while on duty

Assist in creating a positive team atmosphere by maintaining cordial and collaborative working relationships

Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and efficiency on a daily basis

Complete any tasks as directed by Six Flags management

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

MUST BE at least 18 years of age

Valid Drivers License

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Must maintain applicable National Registry and Arizona DHS certifications (EMT-B)

Possess and maintain a valid and current park driving permit

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagnostic form instructions

Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations

Ability to work effectively in an environment with loud noises and flashing lights

Ability to function effectively through an entire shift or assignment

Ability to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time restrictions

Ability to read, converse, and understand English

Ability to appropriately interview patients, family members, bystanders, and witnesses

Ability to document in writing all relevant information in a prescribed format

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift, carry, manipulate, and operate medical equipment in excess of 75 pounds

Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop, and crawl on uneven terrain

Ability to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, moisture, and dryness

Ability to perform EMS and occupational functions as required

OTHER NOTES:

All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
