The Total Rewards Specialist is part of the human resources team and helps support the administration and development of our Leave of Absence programs across the organization. This includes performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with the purpose of supporting ECPs benefits processes/functions. The position reports to the Director of Benefits. Tasks within this role range from a scale of process oriented/administrative to intermediate level analysis and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Perform support activities to develop, implement and administer Leave of Absence programs for employees.
- Partner with third-party vendors to manage end-to-end leave administration: receive, review, approve/deny, and track leave requests in compliance with company policy and applicable laws. Coordinate with vendors to find solutions and resolve inquires.
- Administer the collection of benefit premiums for employees while on leave.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers on leave processes, eligibility, and policy interpretation.
- Record leaves and adjust time or pay in the HRIS system as needed.
- Assist with the return-to-work process for employees on leave, ensuring a smooth transition back to work.
- Audit leave records data to ensure on-going data integrity.
- Assist employees with questions related to Leave of Absence.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
- Assist in ad-hoc Total Rewards projects as needed.
- Serve as a backup resource for Health & Welfare administration.
Experience R equirements
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in Human Resources Benefits
- Excellent research, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to HR areas, especially state disability and leave laws.
- Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
- Basic to intermediate computer operation, experience with HRIS system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
