For our California workshop in San Dimas, we are seeking a Health, Safety & Environment Manager. At Louis Vuitton, People Make the Difference and this newly created position will play an integral role as an ambassador of the Brand.
As an HSE Manager at LVUSM, you will be an integral member of our leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within our organization. Your mission will be to enhance employee well-being, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement in our HSE practices across the workshop.
Oversee a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to promote their growth and effectiveness.
Initiate cross-functional collaboration by engaging in group projects, think tanks on thematic issues, workshops aimed at creating innovative work tools focused on ergonomics to enhance employee working conditions.
Facilitate inter-site dialogue on HSE topics ensuring effective communication across departments.
Support and coach leadership and management teams in adopting health and safety basics as part of the FOCUS approach
PROFILE
Master's Degree in Occupational, Health, and Safety, environmental science or related field preferred
Knowledge of OSHA / Cal OSHA regulations and compliance
Professional designation such as OHST, ASP, or CSP is desirable.
8+ years of experience with leadership responsibilities
5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Ergonomics preferred
Ablity to perform physical skill analysis preferred
Workers comp background preferred
Emergency preparedness experience preferred
Must be self-driven and take initiative.
Excellent organization and time management skills are required.
Proven effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building, meeting facilitation, and collaborative problem solving/ decision making.
Ability to drive and inspect both outdoor and indoor areas to observe compliance with established programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to travel domestically/internationally.
Results oriented.
English and French is required. Spanish is a plus.
