Benefits Manager - Atlanta Hybrid or 100% Remote

The Benefits Manager manages and administers the company's employee benefits program, including retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance plans, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement. The Benefits Manager is responsible for ensuring benefits offerings are competitive, selecting the benefits carriers/vendors and managing enrollment processes. They also frequently monitor government regulations and market trends to ensure full compliance for employee benefits programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides oversight and manages end-to-end benefits program in alignment with the company's HR strategy in a timely, accurate, and collaborative manner leveraging applicable best practices
  • Designs fair and attractive benefits programs and recommends enhancement/change options to better meet the needs of employees.
  • Prepare Benefits budgets and manages/tracks all benefits invoicing and reporting to Finance
  • Collaborates with Payroll to ensure all employee deductions are accurate and completes quarterly employee contribution audits.
  • Manages benefits carrier/ vendor relationships
  • Ensures benefits programs are fully compliant, inclusive of local, state, and federal reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct research on employee satisfaction and respond accordingly to the results
  • Provides oversight to the leave administration process.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work activities of direct reports
  • Responsible for ongoing benefits education for employees and managers regarding all benefits and leave related programs.
  • Hold staff to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree a plus
    • 3-5 years progressive experience and responsibility managing full cycle employee benefits programs. Managing benefits staff experience preferred.
    • Relevant certification is a plus (CEBS, PHR/SPHR)
  • Required or Specialized Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and follow- through in results
    • Benchmarking and strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; must be a critical thinker
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact and influence key stakeholders
    • Experience working with an HRIS platform (ADP preferred); and general understanding of HRIS functional requirements
    • Knowledge of legislation and regulations that affect benefits plans, including but not limited to ERISA, Section 125, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA and federal and state statues and filing requirements
    • Audit and compliance filing experience required (example: Form 5500, 1094-C/1095-C, 401k audits and non- discrimination testing).

The nature of work requires the ability to:
  • Effectively communicate and exchange information with staff, supervisors, and other internal clients
  • Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment
  • Work performed in a non-clinical office environment.
  • Requires availability for extended hours during peak periods. Hours may change to meet the business needs
  • Atlanta Hybrid or 100% Remote
