Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple states, working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role requires hands-on experience with ADP Enterprise, union payroll processing, and an in-depth understanding of payroll compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly, multi-state payrolls for over 30,000 US/PR employees.

  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local payroll tax laws and garnishment regulations.

  • Validate payroll inputs and outputs in coordination with ADP Managed Services.

  • Audit payroll entries, process legal agreements, vacation payouts, and complex transactions (e.g., Expats, Stock Options).

  • Manage time and attendance systems, including union CBA and time configuration.

  • Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve escalated issues.

  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation and remediation.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to aggregate data for payroll processing.

  • Use ServiceNow to manage and resolve service tickets.

  • Participate in payroll-related projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and continuous process improvements.

  • Contribute to developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced payroll position.

  • Strong understanding of wage and hour compliance (Federal, State, Local).

  • Expertise in high-volume payroll processing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience using ADP Enterprise System.

  • Familiarity with time and attendance entries, edits, and configurations.

  • Previous union payroll processing experience.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and high integrity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline.

  • Experience using Workday HRIS.

  • Background working with third-party payroll vendors.

  • Understanding of HR and Finance interdependencies in payroll.

  • Experience using ServiceNow.

  • Knowledge of union CBA and time configuration requirements.

  • Prior experience in shared services or large-scale enterprise environments.
