Job Title : Human Resources Generalist II

Location: Onsite- Herndon VA

Employment Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 based on background and experience.

AttainX Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team onsite in Herndon, Virginia. This entry/mid-level role is ideal for a motivated professional with a foundation in federal government HR operations, payroll practices, and accounting systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy and compliance, while also contributing to the security documentation processes essential to our government contracting environment. This entry/mid-level position is ideal for professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a government contracting or federal environment.
  • Familiarity with federal accounting and payroll systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
  • Familiar using ADP HRIS system with multiple modules.
  • Understanding of federal labor laws, HR policies (e.g., EEO, FLMA, FLSA).
  • Must have extreme attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience with mass data entry, file uploads and data integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite full-time in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management & Processing
    • Perform mass data uploads into HRIS and related platforms with precision and attention to detail.
    • Audit, validate, and maintain employee data to ensure consistency and integrity across systems.
  • Security Document Administration
    • Assist in the preparation, review, submission, and maintenance of employee security documents in accordance with government regulations.
    • Ensure timely updates and accurate recordkeeping for security clearances and related compliance documents.
  • HR, Payroll, and Accounting Support
    • Support payroll processing activities, benefit tracking, employment changes, with a working knowledge of payroll standards.
    • Collaborate with finance and contracts teams to reconcile HR data with accounting systems relevant to government contracts.
    • Utilize knowledge of federal accounting systems to support audit preparation and contract compliance.
  • HR Operations Support
    • Assist as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
    • Conduct new hire orientation, trainings and create new hire packages.
    • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and other core HR activities.
    • Help maintain a compliant, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture.
