Brown & Brown is seeking an Associate Benefits Analyst to join our growing team in Maitland, Florida.
The Benefit Analyst's primary responsibility involves exercising discretion and independent judgment on significant matters relating to general business operations and client relations; provides direct daily support in the marketing and renewals, relating to assigned books of business varying in large volume, through making decisions, planning, organizing, and advising client partners.
How You Will Contribute
Provide recommendations to client partners on EB options.
Review the EB market to stay current with industry trends and emerging practices.
Manage book of business consisting of assigned clients' employee benefit programs.
Partner with internal teams within the department, including the Service/Client Care Advocate, EB Engagement, Well-being, Data Analytics and Compliance Teams, for fluid communication and execution of projects.
Provide documentation and guidance to clients regarding: medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, FSA programs, COBRA, Healthcare Reform, Federal and State Mandates, and other related employee benefit and compliance topics.
Engage in negotiations to secure final carrier coverage terms and pricing, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
Manage the renewal marketing process, timeline and expectations.
Build and maintain relationships with clients including but not limited to; resolution management, resolving client inquiries, and liaise between agents, account management, and the insurance carriers.
Oversee the collection of experience data and coordinate the marketing process to obtain carrier proposals.
Analyze coverage and cost options, presenting optimal solutions to clients.
Support Senior Benefit Analyst, Senior Benefit Consultant and Benefit Analytics & Engagement Team Leader's book of business as needed
Prepare customer renewal proposals while ensuring the use of required internal documents.
Manage client-specific projects, such as carrier transitions and enrollment processing.
Licenses and Certifications:

Florida 2-15 License or willing to obtain a license
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
1-3 years of experience in insurance or a healthcare-related field
Florida License 2-15 (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong human relations and professional skills
Proficient in MS Office suite of products, especially Excel
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and understanding of HIPPA
