Overview
As a member of the Human Resource team, exceptional service to Sage team members is a top priority. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is directly responsible for employee relations in Sage's dental practices located throughout multiple states. Partnering is required throughout the Company to deliver value-added service to management and employees that align with business objectives. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Directly support managers by assisting them in carrying out their responsibilities with regard to employee-related matters; this includes interpreting and advising on employment policies, programs and guidelines
- Engage in regular communication with respective business partners creating strong relationships/partnerships; be proactive
- Use HR KPIs and analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to guide decisions, develop solutions, programs and policies
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with HR leadership team, and legal as needed/required. Strong documentation is essential
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance for line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Engagement leads to retention
- Coordinate and conduct employee feedback sessions and focus groups as appropriate; assist management with action planning
- Identifies trends and training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs, communicating these needs with HR leadership team
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in human resources or related area; master's degree preferred
- Minimum five years of experience in human resources, with at least two years as a business partner
- Ability to travel up to 5% within the US is required
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and application thereof
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills with all levels of employees in English language; including the demonstrated ability to present in front of an audience
- Strong project management and implementation of programs experience
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
