The Opportunity

The Senior Recruiter is a key strategic partner responsible for attracting and hiring top talent to fuel Markers growth and safeguard its culture. This role leads full-cycle recruiting for both field and office positions, strengthens Markers presence in the talent market, and ensures every new hire has an exceptional onboarding experience. The Senior Recruiter represents Marker at community events, career fairs, and industry gatherings, serving as a brand ambassador to promote our mission and values across all levels from construction laborers to executives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Recruiter plays a critical role in meeting business growth goals and enhancing our associate experience.

What Youll Do

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including crafting job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, employment offers, pre-employment processes, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a diverse, high-quality talent pipeline across skilled trades and professional roles that reduces time-to-fill and improves candidate quality
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce and forecast hiring needs, clarify role requirements, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, career events, community events, schools, workforce development programs, and industry gatherings to expand awareness and attract candidates.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create recruitment campaigns, digital content, and collateral that strengthen Markers employer brand.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Stay current on recruitment trends, employment laws, and market conditions relevant to the construction industry.

Onboarding & Candidate Experience

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and hiring managers to design and execute onboarding plans that ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new hires.
  • Provide hiring managers with resources to support successful ramp-up for new hires.

Recruitment Operations & Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement the best practices for sourcing, interviewing and selection.
  • Track, monitor, and report on key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, diversity hires, source effectiveness).
  • Use data to drive decisions, set realistic hiring goals, and communicate clearly with the hiring managers.
  • Solicit feedback from hiring managers and new hires to enhance the recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Prepare regular reports and insights for the CEO to highlight progress, challenges, and opportunities to improve our hiring process.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, EEO guidelines, and applicable labor laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, business, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-fill roles and building strong talent pipelines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage in diverse audiences.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-driven.
  • Comfortable and confident interviewing candidates at all levels, from field labor to executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, applicant tracking systems, and social media sourcing tools.
  • Experience in the construction industry or skilled trades is preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel within Ohio.
