This role will support HR, Benefits, and Compensation for Wendy’s Michigan restaurants, in playing a key role in driving HR, benefits, and compensation initiatives that directly impact our restaurant teams. Additionally, this role will ensure compliance, streamline processes, and enhance the employee experience through accurate administration and responsive support, while partnering with leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities
  • Supports company-operated restaurants, ensuring a positive employee experience and full compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Supports in employee relations intake calls, exit interviews, and documentation, while overseeing compliance processes such as unemployment claims, I-9 tracking, timecard audits, employment law postings, and related reporting.
  • Handle all aspects of benefits administration for designated employee groups, including eligibility and enrollment processing, premium deductions and vendor file audits, leave of absence support, communication and education, and employee inquiries. Lead annual enrollment and communication activities for the designated medical plan. Manage key project milestones with cross-functional partners and external vendors.
  • Calculate and communicate results for the incentive program. Evaluate minimum wage requirements and request adjustments with the HR Technology team. Partner with payroll to ensure payouts are timely and accurate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve efficiency through solution design and testing to automate processing of key benefits and compensation programs.
  • Provide other administrative support, including preparing employee compensation communication, employee benefit events, benefit verifications and paid time off plan adjustments to ensure consistent administration and accuracy of employee accrual data.

What we expect from you
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • 1-2 year prior HR or Total Rewards Experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. *The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
