POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a driven, continuous learner, and relationship-focused Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a key partner to a designated Business Unit(s). The HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting designated business units to develop talent solutions that support business strategies and operational plans.

This ideal partner is comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, ready to bring their creative energy and HR expertise to support a scaling business and navigates ambiguity. This individual operates strategically to provide both day to day support to employees and leaders and serves as a coach and consultant in supporting longer term talent, development, and cultural strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports current and future business needs through collaboration with designated business leaders through focuses of development, engagement, motivation, and retention of people.
  • Plans and leads core HR processes and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy in the functional areas of onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, culture, development, and compensation supporting a dedicated business unit(s).
  • Leverages strong business acumen to analyze and report out on relevant business unit HR metrics and people trends, utilizing data to support ideas and solutions. Works closely with HR Specialist & HR Functional groups to analyze data for areas of focus for business unit HR and management teams.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit workforce planning, succession, and talent development needs.
  • Possess confidence, courage, and an ability to challenge the status quo to express a differing point of view and to communicate at multiple levels.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, providing performance management guidance to leaders.
  • Supports project leaders by periodically conducting site visits and establishing themselves as the key point-of-contact for talent, culture and HR operations issues.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Organizational Development team members to create and implement best practices to achieve business results.
  • Work alongside HR Director/Vice President to research, develop, create, and implement HR strategies and practices catering to a unique and growing business unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop relationships and establish credibility and trust.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Superior attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task.
  • Experience successfully navigating a complex environment utilizing strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage and implement region and/or business unit wide programs, processes, and initiatives, ensuring proper communication and effective change management, independently and successfully.
  • Excellent active listening, consultative, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates a healthy balance of people orientation, drive for results, and analytical skills.
  • Construction or related industry experience is helpful, though not required.
  • Must be willing to travel 25%.
