About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team on our project in Reno, Nevada. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with executing Holder's safety strategy and zero-accident culture on assigned projects.
- Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Implement the project's safety program and ensure adherence to established standards.
- Teach on-site safety classes, including fall protection, excavation and confined space, scaffolding, electrical safety, OSHA-10, and OSHA-30 hour training.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years of commercial construction safety experience.
- Formal safety training, including OSHA 500 in construction and competency in scaffolding, crane management, steel erection, emergency response, fall management, excavation and confined space, rigging, hazardous waste, and erosion control.
- Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with a general contractor preferred.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHSP).
