We have a current opening for a Safety Coordinator. AtEquix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceedexpectations with all of our services, which include: Pipeline Construction, GasDistribution, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Facility Construction andFabrication, and Trenching services.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the Safety Manager and Site Team to ensure implementation ofthe HSE Management System at the site and that all safety requirements areconsistently and correctly implementedAssist the implementation of all HSE policies and proceduresAssist in managing the HSE management system within assigned areas ofresponsibility to achieve established HSE performance targetsMaintain, monitor, and provide on-time reporting of HSE performance metrics,statistics, records and injury reportingWork with the site team to resolve problems and implement corrective actionsPerform field and contractor audits on a regular basis to ensure complianceAdvise the Safety Manager on EHS compliance issues and advise/assist indeveloping and implementing corrective actionsTrain site personnel in the areas of environmental compliance, occupationalhealth and safety to ensure compliance with required safety policies andpracticesReview HSE deliverables, plans and programs proposed by contractors workingat company's construction sites and monitor their performance toensure complianceActively participate in HSE program reviewsEnsure the highest level of health and safety practices. This includeswearing and demonstrating the proper use of essential safety equipmentAdhere to and represent the company's values, vision and HSE PolicyStatements while reinforcing Line Management's and individual employee'sresponsibility for HSEAssist in the development, training and implementation of HSE Policies andProceduresOther duties as assigned

Requirements:

Two (2) years of EHS experience applicable to operations, maintenance and/orconstruction industry preferableProven experience holding people accountable to processes and standardsDemonstrated success developing and monitoring safety standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated abilityto work well and efficiently with a wide variety of peopleDemonstrated strengths in problem solving, planning, and coordinationinitiativesUnderstanding of local, state and federal regulatory requirementsAbility to work independently will be essentialMust be able to sit, walk or stand for long duration of timeMust have the ability to identify and distinguish colorsMust be able to transfer, carry, and lift up to forty (40) poundsMust be able to crouch, kneel, or kneel for up to five (5) minutes at atime
