Enrollment and Recruitment Coordinator The Enrollment and Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for executing the school's annual student recruitment strategy and provides managerial oversight, ensuring that all student enrollment records comply with all charter, District, and Federal guidelines. The Enrollment and Recruitment Coordinator supervises the contracted seasonal Student Enrollment Specialist to ensure that all aspects of the enrollment process are performed accurately and effectively. The Enrollment and Recruitment Coordinator reports directly to the Chief of Staff. This is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse community. This job description is intended to provide a clear structure for the responsibilities and accountability of this position. There may be additional responsibilities that are undertaken or that are assigned as the needs of students and the organization arise. This is a 12-month non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Key Responsibilities Recruitment, Retention, and Partnership Development Serve as the school lead point of contact with the Office of the Superintendent for State Education (OSSE) and My School District of Columbia (MSDC) for the enrollment process. Create strategic and operational recruitment plans with leadership to ensure all enrollment goals are met before the annual October count deadline. Manage student waitlists and ensure enrollment numbers are maintained throughout the year. Build and cultivate partnerships with local schools and agencies to recruit students. Analyze school data to determine best partnership targets in regards to geography, student demographics, and socio-economic status. Represent Two Rivers during local student recruitment events, including the annual DC EdFest. Organize enrollment and recruitment events, including Open Houses, Shadow Days and family tours. Facilitate all aspects of the school's student recruitment effort, including cultivating relationships with families, and recruiting parent ambassadors to participate in recruitment activities. Student Administration and Records Management Manage all recruitment and enrollment events and activities. Serve as liaison with OSSE and other local agencies regarding compliance with enrollment and residency verification. Ensure that all front desk associates are trained in the enrollment process, including appropriate information to share by telephone, particularly during the Mystery Caller Initiative, and that they execute these responsibilities with fidelity. Coordinate student ambassadors, staff, and leaders to represent Two Rivers, and support recruitment efforts during open houses, DC EdFest, and other local student recruitment events, when appropriate. Ensure Two Rivers incorporates all District requirements into its operations related to DC residency. Facilitate the student enrollment process, including serving as the liaison for the annual enrollment period and enrollment audit. Serve as a point of contact for the OSSE annual enrollment audit, including attending all required training, document reconciling, and ensuring all document requirements are met. Coordinate with school-based leadership teams the annual summer mailing communications. Ensure superior customer service is provided to all stakeholders. Provide training and support to ensure direct reports and staff adhere to charter, District, and federal regulations. Conduct internal enrollment audits to ensure compliance with OSSE audit requirements. Professional Responsibilities Travel to all Two Rivers' campuses and recruitment events throughout DC is required. Maintain a consistent 40-hour workweek, as part of a 12-month schedule, ensuring coverage for key school events, including after-school programs. Attend evening and weekend events as needed. Adhere to professional standards in punctuality, dress code, and respectful communication with students, parents, guardians, visitors, and colleagues. Attend and participate in school-wide events and activities, including professional learning. Respond promptly to communications from parents, administrators, and colleagues, checking email and voicemail daily. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Report all suspicion of child abuse or neglect to the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) and a school administrator. See the Staff Handbook for additional information. Qualifications Minimum of three years' work experience in a non-profit or school setting or for candidates with three years' work experience in other settings, demonstrated interest (e.g., volunteer work) in the non-profit sector. Bachelor's degree, highly preferred At least two years of supervisory and project management experience preferred Experience developing and nurturing partnership relationships. Experience in collaborating with cross-department teams to achieve common goals. Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize various important requests. High level of database management and technology proficiency, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Applications, PowerSchool and OSSE platforms (Qlik, Box and EsP). Excellent written and oral communication skills. A personal sense of investment in the quality of work product. Customer-service mindset and strong interpersonal skills.) Fluency in American Sign Language, Spanish, Amharic, Vietnamese or other world languages is highly desired.
