Full- Time Benefits Counselor

Responsibilities

Assists consumers in obtaining and maintaining all benefit entitlements, including Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and others.

Works collaboratively with Finance department in regards to consumer financial matters, including payment of room and board and management of personal needs allowances.

Transports and assists consumers with relevant appointments, applications, and banking.

Acts as a resource for program staff in regards to consumers' insurance benefits and income.

Participates in the admission and discharge planning process for all consumers.

Maintains all paperwork in accordance with requirements for Social Security Representative Payee accounts.

Qualifications

BSW in Social Work, Psychology or related field

BA in unrelated field with two years of previous experience in mental health

Valid Driver's License

Pay

$50,000 - $52,000 annual salary
