We have a current opening for an Health & Safety Manager and are actively reviewing applications.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs across our facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industrial best practices.
Main Responsibilities: Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures specific to food production
Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections
Manage incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions
Provide health and safety training and awareness programs to all staff
Maintain health and safety documentation and records
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors
Monitor safety performance metrics and KPIs
Lead Safety committees and Safety moments
Stay current with industry regulations and best practices
Minimum 4-7 years' experience in health and safety within food manufacturing/production
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, provincial and local regulations (i.e., OHSA, Workers Compensation).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with health and safety management systems and software
