Job Description
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily HR operations and serves as the primary point of contact for employees, visitors, and external partners. This position provides administrative and coordination support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and timekeeping, enabling the Sr. HR Manager to focus on strategic initiatives. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as front desk support by greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, and managing visitor sign-ins
Assist with recruitment activities, including resume screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and pre-employment processes
Coordinate with staffing agencies by submitting job requests, tracking candidate status, and monitoring attendance and performance
Support onboarding processes and ensure completion of new hire documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR compliance documentation is up to date
Process temporary employee terminations and respond to routine HR-related inquiries
Review and audit timecards, track attendance issues, and follow up on discrepancies
Provide general administrative support, including organizing employee events and assisting with office coordination
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or coursework in Human Resources or Business preferred
1-3 years of experience in administrative, HR, or office support roles, ideally in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment
Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paycor, ADP, or similar platforms preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
