Youth & Community Education Program Representative
Location: Groton, CT
Pay $33.65/hr
Benefits : Medical, Dental, 401K
The Youth & Community Education Program Representative helps inspire and prepare the next generation of workers by connecting students to real-world career opportunities. This role builds strong partnerships with K12 schools, workforce organizations, and employers to create meaningful career awareness and job readiness experiences for young people. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students explore career pathways, develop workplace skills, and successfully transition from school to the workforce.
Key Responsibilities: Youth & Community Education Program Representative
Coordinate and deliver K12 career awareness and workforce readiness programs in partnership with school districts.
Build relationships with teachers, counselors, administrators, and community partners to expand student opportunities.
Support job readiness initiatives for high school students including career exploration, workplace skills, resume development, and interview preparation.
Partner with workforce boards, job centers, and employers to connect students to career pathways and work-based learning opportunities.
Assist with grant-funded program administration, including tracking participation, outcomes, and supporting budget oversight.
Represent the organization at school events, career fairs, and community meetings to promote youth workforce initiatives.
Qualifications: Youth & Community Education Program Representative
Required
Bachelors degree in communications, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field.
At least two years of experience in youth programming, education, workforce development, or community engagement.
Preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work across school systems and community partners.
Experience supporting programs, events, or initiatives that engage students or young people.

Strong organizational skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suit
Ability to build strong working relationships with external partners
Excellent problem solving, adaptability and flexibility
