Location : Ocala Florida 34480 The Training and Development Coordinator supports the Ocala Lumber manufacturing plant by building and sustaining a standardized, efficient training system. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive training initiatives for new and existing employees, ensuring workforce readiness and skill development. The coordinator manages training programs, maintains accurate training records, develops standardized work documentation, and supports continuous improvement efforts. The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to train across multiple shifts in a 24/7 operation. Bilingual capabilities and experience with TPM methodology are considered strong advantages. Job Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive training and development programs for new hires and existing manufacturing employees. Partner with leadership to design, implement, and prioritize training plans aligned with development needs. Support new hire orientation and certify employees in TPM methodology and assigned production roles. Maintain training records, matrices, audits, dashboards, and validate documentation with shift leadership. Train employees on standardized work using SharePoint, Teams, and controlled document repositories. Develop training materials, skills matrices, qualification checklists, and guide teams through learning processes. Track training KPIs, manage learning center operations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills: Strong ability to facilitate training sessions across multiple formats and varying employee skill levels. Proficient in creating standardized work, skills matrices, and continuous improvement documentation. Effective communication, coaching, and feedback skills for employee development and performance improvement. Strong organizational skills to manage training records, dashboards, audits, and compliance requirements. Ability to support TPM teams and implement TPM methodology within manufacturing environments. Comfortable working independently or collaboratively while meeting training targets and deadlines. High attention to detail when managing documentation, certifications, and training performance data. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required for this training and development role. Previous experience in manufacturing training and development environments strongly preferred. Experience creating Standard Work and Continuous Improvement documentation is highly desirable. Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process equipment required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for training documentation. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specification sheets accurately. Willingness to work across rotating shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
