Safety Coordinator Chandler, AZ ($70,000-$105,000/yr +bonus)Position OverviewThe Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace health and safety programs to protect employees, contractors, and visitors. This role focuses on hazard identification, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, training delivery, and continuous improvement of safety practices to reduce risk and promote a culture of safety across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, implement, and maintain the companys health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Conduct regular workplace inspections and hazard assessments; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to management.Investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries; prepare detailed incident reports, determine root causes, and track corrective action completion.Maintain safety records and logs, including OSHA 300/300A documentation, training records, and incident files.Develop and deliver safety training and orientation for employees, including toolbox talks, emergency response procedures, and job-specific safety briefings.Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills, evacuation procedures, and coordination with emergency services.Coordinate return-to-work and light-duty programs in collaboration with supervisors and HR.Monitor and report on key safety performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend initiatives to improve safety outcomes.Support personal protective equipment (PPE) programs and ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of PPE.Serve as a resource and point of contact for employees on safety questions and concerns; promote a proactive safety culture through communication and engagement.QualificationsAssociates degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred; bachelors degree or equivalent experience is a plus.Minimum 24 years of experience in workplace safety, loss prevention, or related role, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping requirements, including experience preparing and maintaining OSHA 300/300A logs.Certifications preferred: CPR, First Aid, and AED instructor or responder certification.Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.Strong presentation and training skills with experience delivering safety training to diverse audiences.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency with MS Office applications and experience using safety management or incident tracking software is desirable.Valid drivers license and ability to travel between job sites as required.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance- DAY 1PTO - sick days, 11 holidays, vacation401K Retirement Savings Plan with company matchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanFlexible Spending accounts (commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts, health savings account)10% bonus
