The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level for the assigned location(s) while working closely with the HR Team in supporting IWG operations. This position will assist in the following areas: employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, safety, benefits administration, policy development and implementation, employment law compliance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform standard responsibilities as a Human Resource Generalist to include:

Assists with the talent acquisition process for all nonexempt personnel, students/interns and temporary employees; writes and places advertisements.Oversee site level employee onboarding procedures, educating newly hired employees on HR policies, benefits, internal procedures, and regulations.Administer stay and exit interviews to gain a better understanding from the perspective of our employees.Maintains headcount/staff reporting for all IWG EW employees.Regular use of HR software to support payroll and employee benefits.Ensure physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records are maintained appropriately in compliance with all federal, state and local employment benefit laws and regulations.Serve as a point of contact for employees concerning any human resources issues, generating official internal documents as required.Assist in the development and implementation of employee recognition and retention programs including employee events, engagement surveys, etc.Prepare and present HR data and report on key metrics to support business decisions.Assists and participates with the safety program.Any other duties as assigned.

Teamwork:

Daily communication with HR Director to ensure objectives are met.Support and comply with company policies and procedures as applicable.Demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude.

Qualifications and SkillsQualifications and Skills include:

Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in human resources management with 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills, Organizational Skills, Relationship Management/Client-drivenKnowledge of HR principles and employment lawsAbility to manage time sensitive tasks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with an automated HRIS systemMust be initiative-taking and self-directed.Excellent interpersonal skillsHigh level of discretion and professionalism

Working Conditions

Standard Office Working Conditions with the ability to navigate the manufacturing space as well.Local travel between plants is required.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
