We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative HR Specialist to support both the Employee Relations and Workers’ Compensation functions within our Human Resources team. This role will partner closely with HR leadership to assist with employee concerns, workplace investigations, leave, workers’ compensation administration, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations Support

  • Assist in reviewing and responding to employee concerns and complaints
  • Support workplace investigations, including gathering documentation and maintaining case files
  • Partner with managers on performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Help ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information

Workers’ Compensation & Leave Administration

  • Assist in administering workers’ compensation claims from the initial report through resolution
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, medical providers, and managers
  • Track claim status, documentation, and return-to-work processes
  • Support leave of absence processes and employee communications
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with company policies

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
  • Support audits and reporting related to HR compliance
  • Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures
  • Provide general HR support across the department as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of HR or legal experience, with exposure to employee relations and/or workers’ compensation preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with workers’ compensation claims or leave administration
  • Experience supporting workplace investigations
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
