The Role We are seeking an Employee Benefits Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to advise employers on the design, compliance, and administration of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements. This associate will play a key role in day-to-day counseling, transactional support, and regulatory compliance matters. Core Practice Areas ERISA compliance and fiduciary governance Qualified retirement plans (401(k), pension, profit-sharing plans) Health and welfare plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, cafeteria plans) Executive compensation and incentive arrangements Equity compensation (stock options, RSUs, performance-based awards) Nonqualified deferred compensation (Section 409A) COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA compliance Employee benefits issues in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings Benefits considerations in reductions in force and reorganizations Key Responsibilities Draft and review plan documents, SPDs, amendments, and summaries Advise employers on IRS and Department of Labor compliance requirements Assist with benefit plan audits and government inquiries Support corporate transactions through benefits due diligence and integration Counsel clients on fiduciary duties, risk management, and best practices Collaborate with corporate, tax, and employment teams on cross-disciplinary matters Qualifications PA license 2-5 years of experience practicing employee benefits and executive compensation law Strong working knowledge of ERISA and related federal regulations Experience with retirement and health & welfare plans preferred Pennsylvania bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly) Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills What's Offered Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Hybrid work model with flexibility Meaningful client contact and hands-on responsibility Supportive, team-oriented culture Long-term growth and advancement opportunities Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
