Staffing CoordinatorChildren’s Mercy Camber Olathe is seeking a highly organized, solutions-focused Staffing Coordinator to help ensure our teams are fully staffed and supported 24/7. This role is critical in maintaining quality care operations by coordinating staffing needs, supporting recruitment efforts, and partnering with leadership to meet workforce demands in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a role that combines staffing operations, employee support, scheduling coordination, and recruitment collaboration.
What You’ll DoCoordinate staffing coverage to ensure all shifts remain fully staffed and compliant
Analyze staffing trends, patient census, and workforce needs
Collaborate with leadership and staffing agencies to fill open shifts
Maintain staffing schedules, reports, position control, and attendance tracking
Monitor overtime and communicate staffing concerns proactively
Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation activities
Ensure compliance with DOL and EEOC regulations
Assist managers with payroll verification, leave processes, and return-to-work coordination
Maintain strict confidentiality while supporting employees and leadership
Champion organizational values including Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Teamwork, Open Honest Communication, and Continuous Improvement
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred
High School diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
Minimum two years of supervisory experience required
Experience in a 24/7 staffing or scheduling environment preferred
Basic knowledge of employment law required
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment
