Our client, a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a supportive work environment, is hiring a Human Resources Benefits Manager . This pivotal role offers an opportunity for a seasoned benefits professional to lead and shape the organization's employee benefits programs across multiple sites. The HR Benefits Manager will play an essential part in ensuring competitive, compliant, and cost-effective benefits offerings that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational success. This position requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex benefits portfolios in a dynamic healthcare setting, working closely with senior HR leadership, finance teams, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, wellness, and leave initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve benefits strategies to maintain competitiveness and manage costs effectively.
  • Lead open enrollment processes, ensuring accurate communication, employee education, and seamless execution.
  • Act as the primary contact with benefits brokers, carriers, and third-party vendors; negotiate contracts and coordinate renewals.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws such as ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Collaborate with Finance on benefits budget planning, analysis of utilization data, and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage leave of absence programs, including FMLA, disability, and workers compensation coordination.
  • Develop and communicate benefits policies and updates clearly and professionally to employees.
  • Supervise and develop benefits team members, fostering a high-performance service-oriented environment.
  • Support HRIS systems management related to benefits administration, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Partner with HR leadership on total rewards and workforce planning initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive benefits management experience, preferably within healthcare.
  • Extensive knowledge of health benefit plans and welfare programs.
  • Strong understanding of benefits compliance laws including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Experience negotiating with brokers and carriers.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic improvements.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
