Employment Type: Open to TemptoHire (ContracttoHire) or Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 base salary
Bonus eligible upon conversion to direct hire
Position Overview
LHH is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist for a client with a lean, highimpact Employee Relations function. This role operates within a shared services environment supporting multiple business units and is open to temptohire or direct hire, depending on candidate experience and business needs.
This position requires a seasoned employee relations professional who can independently manage complex investigations from intake through resolution while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is processdriven, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fastpaced, lowbureaucracy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct full lifecycle employee relations investigations, including intake, factfinding, interviews, analysis, and resolution
Manage investigations in the appropriate sequence, including witness interviews, documentation review, and interviews with accused parties
Prepare clear, thorough, and wellstructured investigation summaries and supporting documentation for leadership review
Manage fluctuating caseloads and close investigations efficiently in alignment with defined metrics and timelines
Utilize anonymous reporting hotlines and investigation management platforms to document, track, and resolve cases
Partner closely with Employee Relations leadership and HR stakeholders across the organization
Maintain strict confidentiality, credibility, and professionalism in all interactions
Adhere to established templates, procedures, and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of handson Employee Relations experience
Strong working knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws (required)
Proven experience conducting independent investigations from start to finish
Excellent written communication skills, including experience producing formal investigation documentation
Experience using anonymous ethics hotlines and/or investigation management systems
High level of integrity, discretion, and sound professional judgment
Preferred Qualifications
SHRM certification or demonstrated commitment to ongoing HR professional development
Legal or compliancerelated background
Experience supporting shared services or multientity organizational environments
Additional Information
This role supports a small, collaborative Employee Relations team
Caseload volume may fluctuate, requiring flexibility and strong prioritization skills
Candidates must be comfortable in a role with limited nearterm promotional opportunities
Final candidates will be required to complete an onsite, timed writing exercise based on a realworld employee relations investigation scenario
Pay Details: $43.00 to $47.00 per hour
