Safety Coordinator

Health & Safety Coordinator (Contract)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to support workplace safety and compliance within a distribution/manufacturing environment. This role will focus on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, and supporting day-to-day safety initiatives across the facility.

Job Details:

• Pay: $25–$35/hour
• Duration: 6–8 month contract
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Develop and lead safety training programs for employees
• Manage contractor activity and support facility safety programs
• Promote employee engagement and awareness around workplace safety
• Partner with operations, HR, and leadership teams to maintain a safe work environment
• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance safety processes
• (Preferred) Support food safety/FDA-related compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of safety experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• (Preferred) Experience with FDA or food manufacturing safety standards
