Harbor is seeking a Recruiter to join the Human Resources team in Toledo! This role supports the development and execution of Harbor's recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, supporting onboarding processes (including intern coordination), and contributing to employee retention efforts. The Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers as well as internal and external recruitment partners.
Position is full-time.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 3 years of recent recruitment and Human Resources experience required; or Associate Degree with at least 5 years of recruitment and Human Resources experience, with one to three years of healthcare experience required.
Experience:
- Experience with social media platforms, outside recruitment firms, and ATS databases.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency with computer databases, Microsoft Office products, and accuracy in data entry.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition processes.
- Demonstrated professionalism, strong communication and negotiation abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor's vehicle insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SPHR or PHR certification.
- One to three years of healthcare recruitment experience preferred where not otherwise required by the education/experience combination above.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists with aspects of staff recruitment, hiring, and retention for the organization.
- Creates and posts open jobs on the company website in accordance with company procedures.
- Establishes recruiting plans by incorporating the organization's objectives and meeting with managers to discuss talent needs.
- Works with hiring managers to identify optimal candidates and follows through with recruitment and onboarding processes, including reference checks, offer negotiations, background check scheduling, and related pre-employment steps.
- Coordinates and executes pre-employment processes, including background checks and drug screens.
- Coordinates new hire onboarding with the HR team and works with candidates to ensure all required documents are completed prior to employment.
- Helps with Physician and Nurse Practitioner recruitment and onboarding.
- Oversees coordination of the organization's internship program, including supporting recruitment and onboarding of interns, maintaining active affiliation agreements with educational institutions and programs, and ensuring required documentation and compliance requirements are current and appropriately maintained.
- Meets with internal clients and interns to identify future interests within the organization and strategizes potential career opportunities.
- Works with Marketing to manage the use of social media recruitment and communication and keeps company website recruitment pages current to assist in recruitment.
- Proactively identifies candidates by utilizing multiple strategies, including online databases and social media sites, job boards, contact lists, networking, employee referrals, ATS database searches, and attendance at industry and diversity-related events.
- Remains active on social media forums, attends career fairs, visits local college campuses or universities, and utilizes other creative methods to locate qualified candidates.
- Conducts regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans and implementation.
- Assists with company-wide and subsidiary recruitment projects.
- Creates reports related to talent acquisition, presents information, and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Supports activities and functions coordinated and/or initiated by HR.
- Attends appropriate meetings and serves on teams as requested.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
- Assists in determining compensation amounts in alignment with organizational guidelines and market benchmarks.
